After the Lutheran church lost Ilboru secondary school because of the nationalization policy. The government, together with citizenry of Arumeru District, under Chief Zephania Mollel allocated land to the North Diocese, which was under Bishop Erasto Kweka to build school.

May 9th 1996 with single building, the Chief`s residence and 3 teachers, Enaboishu (Maasai for UMOJA –UNITY), Secondary School (REG NO:081), under the Headmastership of Mr. Mkude Mariki opened her doors to public  A whopping 75 students registered in that year.

 In 1967, the diligent, No sense Elisate Nkini took over the stewardship of infant school and in 1969, the school graduated her pioneer form four class.

After 33 years of decicated services. Mr.Nkini retired and late Bishop Thomas Laiser appointed the indefatigable Lession Ole Sakinoy to take over the leadership mantle 

Trust in the lord. Teachers` Welfare, Students` Descpline and Academic performance were the bedrock of his administration which paid off with a high teacher retention progressive academic results unrivalled discipline, hence societal appreciation, thus the large student numbers that the school now boasts of.

ENABO, (as the school is fondly called by her students) has never looked back. By January, 2016, a total of 6860 students had completed their O`level studies in school. In 1998, Enaboishu became high school with HGE (History, Geography, and Economics) subject combination, which over the years due to popular demand has expanded to HKL, EGM, HGL, HGK combination and has as of May 2016, sent 1176 Form VI graduates to institutions for higher learning.
